I grew up in an environment where I faced abuse from my stepfather and the heartbreak of realizing some family members knew and did nothing to protect me. I was also a daddyless daughter, carrying the pain of wanting a father’s love while navigating a rocky relationship with my biological dad.

For years, I tried harder and harder to make things work, sacrificing my own peace just to keep the waters calm. But one day, I realized that my well-being had to come first.
